What’s a time you followed your gut and it turned out to be exactly right?
Years ago, I was on Ortho Evra to help manage my irregular periods. However, at one point, back in 2003, I told my gynecologist that I experienced a full loss of vision after climbing stairs.
I was fine one momenr, but after climbing stairs in the high school I was in, everything in front of my eyes faded to black for about ten seconds.
I told her I wanted to get off the patch. She said that she thought I was a bit paranoid, but agreed.
Then…
Years later, I was hearing about women being seriously injured or killed by the patch. It turns out that the high hormone level increased the risk of blood clots.
I don’t know what made me think that Ortho Evra caused my sudden vision issues, but I’m glad I went off it when I did.
