I remember blizzards, Y2K, 9/11, BLIZZARDS, tornadoes and hurricanes they talked about on the news.
That one time that my entire house shook due to a doggone earthquake in the area.
BLIZZARDS.
Lots and lots of school shootings. I also remember the DC Sniper.
… Those were scary days.
LOTS and lots and lots of rain. Rained here for a week straight once. Those were some very happy and very fat robins in the yard.
Did I mention BLIZZARDS? Snowpocalypse of 2009… followed by its ugly sibling, Snowmageddon of 2010. Opened the front door after it was done… and the snow was nearly two feet over my head. I closed the door and left the snow alone for another day.
And yes, I’m above 5 feet tall… but not by much.
Further back? Blizzard 96… and Superstorm 93 and Storm of the Century 93 and… I’ll shut up now.
Am I dating myself? Probably!
I also know history of things in the past I’ve read about. Not all of it, because my tiny fragile mind has a finite limit.
