Today was rough. I started feeling a bit “off” last night. Then today… another memorial service for another friend. It’s painful because this was an older gentleman, and he died a week after his son’s memorial service.
Then another friend’s father died. And someone else lost their sister…
When I got home, instead of doing much on NtC, I only hammered out 819 words (out of 2,400+) for it… which is only 34% of what was needed…
I pumped out well over 4K for C&R II today.
NanoWrimo reports that as 716% due for the day.
I went with what was quickest to finish out. And what felt the easiest to do.
Under normal circumstances, I would try to push to get the rest done for NtC tonight… but I’m also behind on a lesson.
And I’m also dealing with notable tension in my right wrist… despite resting it between writing spurts.
I hate to say this… but if I can manage another 4K tomorrow, that’ll push me up closer with NtC.
Fortunately, what I have left with NtC is the completing on the additional chapter that will now fit between current chapter six and seven. It’s not a lot of material—at least I hope not.
Never mind, I just checked. If I finish that chapter, I’ll have nearly the entire 4K done for the day, then I can start up chapter 19 in earnest.
Cos once Nano’s done, I’ll go from Chapter 18 to Chapter 23 with NtC. Still not sure what the extra chapters will have. AND… Each one needs edits. All the original chapters need some revisions. Somewhere…
I’ll also have 5 additional chapters for C&R that aren’t even up and 7 in total that need edits.
Those are worries for another day…
Hey! Maybe I can make December ‘editing’ month, cos I don’t plan on writing much at all. Not after 30 days of chaos.
Now then… I’m gonna go ice my wrist and do my lesson. And go-to-bed.
If I can sleep properly.
We all process grief differently. My way usually involves writing sprees that I end up regretting later…
