First off… Oww. My oldest cat left claw marks on me.
And in me.
To be fair though… it is partially—or mostly—my fault. I went ballistic when I realized the source of the stench and feces around different spots in the house… was her butthole. And yes, I said butthole, because that’s what it was.
There was so much poop trapped in her backside that I wanted to scream. Some was solid, some was liquid, some was what I’ve only seen in my own toilet bowl until now!
She’s now booked for a groomer. Too much butt fur.
In the past, I was able to keep her cut down myself, but I’ve gotten so weak lately that I’m afraid to try… But I need to try to cut her fur down some tomorrow… at least near her sides and butt. I’ll need to put some plastic under her more than likely.
I’ve already washed off my wound and tried to squeeze it so blood would come out so further flush out anything.
Unfortunately, as per usual, I barely bled at all. And one of her claws went in deep. At that point, both of us were howling.
Thankfully, I removed a mass of feces from right near her anus and rinsed a lot off in the basement sink. Currently, her privates and anus have been splashed with both cold and warm water.
Her tail is also ridiculously wet now.
And since I couldn’t squeeze anything out of this puncture, I’m going to hope that I don’t die from some cat claw disease.
Matter of fact, I think I’ll preschedule her for the next 6 months so she keeps up going to the groomers.
She wasn’t mad at me at all afterwards. I think she realized I was trying to help her.
And my nose.
Definitely trying to help my nose.
So, today I’ve punched out a staggering 3,746 words!
Not as much as yesterday, but I’m making some serious headway. I estimated that I need to write about 2,500 words per day in NtC to make the 50K limit by the 30th.

Still, I’m on page 29 of NtC in just a few short days. And I still have the last half of that chapter to do. Then, onward to the very next chapter. And so on and so on and so on!
