So… I’m pretty sure I wrenched my ankle just by being alive. Though I have been traveling up and down the stairs quite rapidly the last few days.
Today, I decided to order out for lunch/dinner. I ended up finding a fantastic Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman fanfiction and it kept me so distracted that I forgot to really eat that much at all.
I’m always worried when I look for fanfic written by others, tbh. Too many times people have ‘lemons’ without noting that it’s there. Too often, dialogue looks similar to what I did back in 2013.
Is it hilarious that I’ve been writing since 1994, but it took until 2021-2022 before I started understanding some of the basics when editing my own stuff. I’m frustrated often too. It can take me like 2-3 days – if I’m being driven – to pen a 30-page chapter.
Even then, I might still have to set aside 3 hours for editing.
Now, I’m sitting here, having attempted to do most of my daily chores. I somehow managed to clear up my office a bit and my bedroom. That’s sort of easy though, considering they’re in the same place.
I spoke with my dad again today. He was very regretful for what happened to the dog. He had to put her in a plastic bag and drop her body in the dumpster of a 7Eleven. Said the ground was way to hard for him to shovel to bury her in the back yard.
My dad is almost 70 too, so that is certainly a factor.
I think the trauma of her dying will linger with him for quite some time.
Again, I suggested that they never get another dog or any other pet either.
That’s it. I have to figure out how to get back upstairs.
Ugh…
