I have a Budget Planning Book, but I hate it. Everywhere I’ve looked, I’ve been unable to find a spreadsheet that functioned like the book did.
When you look online to find a “Budget Planner” for EXCEL, you always get a bunch of things that you absolutely do not want. Along with a ridiculous number of subcategories that also aren’t what you want.
So, I, Juliette Lyst, who has never had any experience with Excel… went and created a spreadsheet that functions like the book—except better! And what makes it better is that it does the calculating for me.
I took it a step further and created a separate document to calculate how much I should load onto my Greenlight card too.
Then… I decided that since Greenlight doesn’t let you get an official account statement, I’d make one of those too.
I’ve messed up so badly with my finances over the years… and I can’t keep finding myself having to pay down debt!
My next spreadsheet… will probably be for the credit cards to pay them down properly… with their interest rates included.

I don’t speak often about money, because the topic is a bit frustrating for me. As I literally had to call my elderly father and ask him to buy me cat food and litter this month. I felt absolutely terrible about that! He told me it was okay, but I don’t feel like it was.
Still… I am extremely grateful for his help.
Oh… did I mention I have a problem with transposing numbers? That’s part of why I made a spreadsheet to calculate for me.
