Sowing Sowing Sowing

Daily writing prompt
Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

“You reap what you sow.” One of the most striking of sayings.

It’s not karma. It’s literally the results of poor decision-making.

People can also become cocky when they’ve gotten away with things for so long.

Example Numero Uno: My cousin.

Despite the fact that he could have killed my 72 year old father when he punched him and shoved him into a cabinet…

  • His mother called off the initial 911 call, and told my father that if something happened to her son, it was his fault.
  • The police showed up, but then said they couldn’t do anything. Because my cousin had locked his door. They claimed they couldn’t force him to open the door.
  • My aunt claimed that it was all a mistake… when it obviously was not.

In the past, my cousin has stolen from his mother and she did all she could to get back the money he stole off her card while buying things… and refused to press any charges or punish him in any way.

His mother is a thief as well, and my father refused to press charges when she’s stolen from him twice. I told him, one more time and I’m going to report her.

His mother also whines about her “lot” in life.

While it’s true that terrible things happen to good and decent people, fairly often the results of horrid behavior is something more horrible down the line. It call catches up in the end.
