I’ve not exactly outgrown or lost interest in weight lifting, but I’m physically unable to do it anymore.
I have my old tracking notebook in my room (I think,) but it had an extensive list of what I used to do. I would alternate leg and upper body days. I might take a day off. I averaged 6 days a week in the gym though, for about 2-3 hours.
I only benched once because the woman spotting me was so focused on drooling over the man giving her a tour of the gym… Yes, I know, bad idea to have someone who wasn’t a member. But the only other people who could have spot me where the men, and I didn’t want to be near anyone’s cheese-scented crotch.
I benched about 50 lbs… or 55 lbs… before she dropped the weight ON ME.
I curled 35 lbs. At home, I curled 25 lbs iron dumbbells. I stopped buying higher weight because I had the packages sent to my dad’s place and he about near died trying to pick them up.
I am not joking either. I had a set of 20 lb and a set of 25 lb dumbbells delivered on the same day.
I leg pressed 418 lbs.
With my upper back, I could move 300 lbs.
I worked the deltoids, triceps (30-35 lbs on the dip), the quads, glutes, adductor and abductors (200-215 lbs–which was light for me) … and pulled on the low row (150 lbs) and rowing machine.
I squatted 240 lbs, when I weighed 245 lbs myself.

Do I miss the weight lifting? Yes. Genetics dictated that I couldn’t have my joy for very long though. 😦
