Daily writing prompt
When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?

The first person who comes to mind is Jesus Christ. His success wasn’t measured in material wealth. Instead, it was measured in the lives of those he taught and in the sacrifice he made for us all. He did what no other man could.

Then, I thought of Paul, who put in countless miles and countless hours to teach people the truth about Christ and the Kingdom of God. Paul was constantly in danger, was threatened on the road, was nearly shipwrecked several times. He was nearly attacked during a rage-fueled rampage by someone who wanted him to stop.

He was even stoned and left for dead outside a city. And he later returned to that city all over again.

Paul did all of this… and also sustained himself. He refused to have others pay for him, and he refused to charge… or “peddle” the truth.

So those are the two people I can think of who are successful.

Very successful.
