That’s an excellent topic… and one I’m not entirely sure how to answer. My budgeting habits have never been the best, but now I’m trying to figure it out while dealing with a drastically reduced income.
And I mean way down.
I want to try to make a list of “needs” versus just “wants.”
A bit over 70% of what I earn is sent to an account to pay bills.
I’m back (mostly) to going to the stores in person to purchase food. Because ordering groceries online can get very pricey.
I have a budget book, which I’ll start setting up for next month because this month has been all over the place.
And while I’m on this particular topic, I also need to get more organization with the cat’s stuff too. My office, at current, is in complete and total disarray, and it’s irritating to see.
I’m also having to fight the aggravation and frustration I face while always feeling ridiculously hungry.
… And that just reminded me I needed to have a late dinner.
Since I need to be up two hours after I eat, I’ll be up for a bit attempting to tidy.
Now then… back to budgeting! Or my lack… thereof. I’m trying hard to curb the excess spending and since I’m attempting to get back down to 160, I’m not ordering out anymore. Or eating out either. No… I just let myself be hungry all while dreaming of fitting into my size 16 jeans all over again.
I’m attempting to keep grocery spending at $200 or less, so I’m eyeballing what I’m eating as well. I also have some assistance that I’ll use once I need to. It’s not much at all, but it takes a bit of the load off.
I also need to do the taxes this month–which is another reason why I am not trying to stick to much while it’s still February.
Oddly enough, I also keep getting PMs from people who want to turn my fanfics into comic books or graphic artworks. I keep explaining that I don’t have the funds for commissions, but they keep insisting that we can work out payment arrangements…
