Hey, Miss J!

… Once again, my impulsive decisions end up costing me.

I have spent well over $200 at this point… to try and restore my old files for NtC.

I want to resume writing that fanfic. What I should have done if I was having reservations…. Was download the files and set them aside for a year.

So… it’s now January 24, 2025 @ 12:45AM… and all I can think about is NtC.

Someone had saved the entire story before I turbo-nuked everything.

Someone on Redditt was looking for it.

The problem is… I deleted all of the files and all of the backups.

My recovery software cannot recover itself.

ALL of my outlines are gone.

Also gone is that fantastic near ending scene I’d written.

Which means… I have to start from scratch. All over again.

Except… I have those 25 chapters.

… which I have been obsessively reading.

… I want to cry.

I don’t care about OA or C&R. All I want to complete finally… is NtC.

…Will my readers ever forgive me?

In the future, I need to set myself away for a year (or two) before I make major decisions like this. Because my decisions have long lasting and very sad consequences in this case.

I have to plow through TWENTY-FIVE chapters spanning 1,037 pages.

And then restart my layout/outlines again.

I’m also going to need a new notebook…
