Well… Well… Well

Daily writing prompt
If you started a sports team, what would the colors and mascot be?

Look how the penny has dropped.

Is that the right terminology?

Probably not.

I’m still getting used to using certain euphemisms properly. But… Maybe I’ve forgotten how to, that might be the problem.

The colors that I would pick for a sports team are brown, white, and black.

And you already know what my mascot will be…

It shall be…

The illustrious,

The magnificent,

The awe inspiring,

The most powerful…

Chipmunk.

~J. Lyst

And the team name will be…

The “Low to High Rising Nibblers.”

Also, the majority of this blog post was written by my own computer. I did a few revisions here and there, such as capitalization and some word edits (bold or italics). I’ve been testing the accessibility software on a Windows 11 computer for the sake of a friend of mine who has severe vision issues. Along with that, I have also been testing the accessibility capabilities of a Galaxy phone.

In essence Android.

I haven’t tried Apple yet.

Personally speaking, I do have some hearing problems. Unfortunately, this is due to years and years of performing in a band without any notification or warning that I should wear protection for my ears. As a result, when I’m in conversations… more often than not I have a problem understanding the person who’s talking to me. And it’s embarrassing to constantly be saying “huh?”

This is especially true when you consider my age. It shouldn’t be news but maybe it is to some, but many of my friends are 50 years and up in age. And one of my older friends who is over 70, sometimes gets frustrated because I can’t understand what she’s saying or I’m repeating what she’s saying but incorrectly. So… technically I’m not repeating exactly what she’s saying, I’m repeating what my brain thinks she’s saying.

And for those who really don’t know, I’m not 40 yet.

As of right now, I have three accessibility features set up on my phone. They are “Live Transcribe,” “High Contrast Fonts,” and “Voice Access.” I’m also using a high contrast keyboard on my phone.

I kind of wonder why I didn’t know about these software features before. Maybe I just didn’t like the idea of being labeled as a person who needs accessibility software.

… That’s certainly food for thought…

I’ve also been working on a random blog post since September this year. and I might schedule it to become live on the 31st.
