Is this per sex or…?

Well, one of my pet peeves involves hygiene.

True, I am congested sometimes, but since my sinus surgery… I have a sharp sense of smell. Anyways, I cannot stand it when people smell like wet buttcrack, crotch cheese, moldy onions, putrified  potatoes or musk (or personal lubricant.. I’ve smelled that on people too. Was no bueno. Like, why you gotta smell like lube?! Why??) Along the hygiene scale, I do not like it when I see men with dirt under their nails and all over their hands… and in turn can barely stand to see women with ridiculously long nails because those nails have lots of dirt under them.

I’ve seen it. While it’s impressive to see people able to use their hands despite that, I always see dirt in one of those colorful ‘loops.’

My dad used to work in construction, and he always made sure to clean his hands. He also made it a point to shower.

Daily.

Littering.

I absolutely hate littering. I drove my neighbor somewhere once and she proceeded to dump the contents of my car trash can on the ground outside the car. I was furious with her. And no, she does not ride with me anymore.

No.

I’ve seen kids staring at me before they litter, then they toss stuff on the ground right next to a trash can, and then they resume staring. I had a little girl do this in the back of her mom’s car. She leaned out the window to throw out some trash and looked right at me. Threw the trash and kept staring.

Argumentative attitudes.

I’ve been described as a pacifist because I don’t like arguing and will do what I can to avoid them. I have encountered people who are not only condescending when they argue, but also keep going. And they keep getting louder.

And louder.

And louder.

Drives me up the wall. Because it shows they don’t want anyone else to be heard and is very disrespectful. The overall goal is to ‘beat’ me in the argument by out-shouting me.

Your feelings get involved because you want to be able to make your point too.

The last time it happened, I let them rattle on for a solid 15 minutes. It was very funny.

/End Rant

This could include so much more, such as people who cough in their hands or cough in the open air, people who chew with their mouths open, people who don’t wash their hands after going to the bathroom, people who sneeze on their hands and wipe it on their shirts, people who use excessive profanity. people who text and drive, who smell like cigarette/marijuana/skunk smoke or have stale alcohol on their breath… etc. etc…

I wouldn’t necessarily say a pipe though. My granddads used to smoke pipes. Both of them had different “scents” to the batch they were smoking. And they were not bad smells.

Course, both died from lung cancer.

I also wouldn’t say people who pick their nose. Because just about everyone does.

Even if they don’t want to admit it.
