“Do You Think I’m Fat?”

Today’s inappropriate title and resulting blog post have been inspired by what my innocent eyeballs and ears… took in.

Yes, inappropriate.

You have been warned.

And I’m… still laughing.

This has got to be one of the worse questions to answer, but I was pretty tactless when I was asked that years ago.

I’m technically still a bit tactless… but I’m working hard to show restraint.

So… my response back then was: “Yes. You look fat in everything.” Then I ended up asking, “If you didn’t want the truth, why did you ask? Can’t you use a mirror?!”

I’m realistic. I know I have a weight problem. I’m clinically listed as obese and trying hard to get my weight down. Having some success, which is good.

I’m working to be extra active in the house doing chores.

Chores may not seem like much at all… but depending on the day, I can get over 2 miles in here. And I end up sweating a lot.

If It’s a laundry day… well… The number can shoot up.

Quickly.

What brought on the title of this blog post was Season 7, Episode 10 of “Little House on the Prairie.”

Katherine MacGregor was hilarious and over the top as “Harriet Oleson.”

… I did not know that pickles and whipped cream was a thing.

Yeesh.

I never knew I could be startled and laugh so hard. I nearly choked on my own spit; it was so bad. And that is not an exaggeration. I got tickled by my own laughter and laughed even harder.

Dialogue: “I love you. I don’t care if you’re a little plump.” Her response: “Plump!” Him: “Pleasingly plump.” Whole time, Nels is exaggeratingly trying to squeeze between his wife, the shelves, and the counter.

I can’t begin to imagine how people reacted to that.
