Gratitude

I realize that sometimes I complain too much.

As all part of my new outlook on life… I want to be happier and more positive. Nothing is benefitted by allowing myself to sit in the dumps.

Part of my mood boost is the newest performance of Celine Dion at the closing of the Olympics Opening Ceremony.

I absolutely love Celine Dion… Been listening to her since the 90s and even though I felt sure she wouldn’t be dishonest about lying over singing live—I asked a very good friend of mine who is a professional sound engineer.

It took over a week for him to get back to me and yesterday, he braced himself before he said anything which was stressful. For me. Then… told me that yes, she absolutely sung live.

I didn’t even initially ask him about the lip-synching, just told him that she sang live. He asked if I was sure, and I sent him the link and told him to give the performance a listen to. This was before I saw all the angry comments and videos that popped up of people claiming it was polished, it was pre-recorded, it was all lip-synched.

One person suggested that it was a whole conspiracy with the French press and the event organizer and all the newspapers to claim it was live. For money.

Someone else claimed she was paid 2 million, which was something TMZ wrongly put out and was immediately debunked by other media resources… along with common sense. The Olympics does not pay the performers who sing. They provide accommodation, but there is no profit made from it.

Being debunked to some apparently means that it wasn’t a lie and she did get paid.

Some of the commenters got pretty nasty too. One even claimed that she hated her husband and wanted to get away from him before he died.

Whoo… talk about miserable.

So… In line with being positive and happy… been working super hard at it.

And yes… I am looping her performance on my phone, mainly at the 3 minute 50 second mark.

That smile…

I hope they make it possible to buy the song.

I’m actively working to change up my schedule and chore list too. There’s a lot that I need to do on the daily so as to avoid chaos.

And aggravating my breathing issues.
