Not sure if this counts as uninteresting… but I do find it amusing.
“Chicken parade prompts changes to proposed restrictions in Iowa’s capital city” has got to be one of the stranger stories I’ve read. Apparently there is a limit being put on how many chickens people can raise in their backyards. The number was dropped from 32 to 12… which sparked a chicken parade in protest.
One of my dad’s neighbors has these tiny chickens in her back yard. The roosters can almost fly, so she has netting down to keep them from escaping. However… they are aggressive… even if they’re small birds. At one point, my dad and I named one of the roosters “lunch” and the bigger one with darker plumage “dinner.”
No, we haven’t requested to purchase them and eat them. Yes, they are still adorable. I wonder if the owner uses them for eggs, but the eggs would probably be smaller than regular “small” eggs.
