I didn’t realize just how messed up some of these episodes of “Intervention” are. Then… I thought about it.
I have seen people on that show do lines off the lid of a toilet’s tank. I’ve also seen them pull water from inside the toilet bowl to dissolve and properly shoot up heroin.
The idea of putting yourself so close to all the germs in toilet water…
Someone on the show was injecting herself with bleach. There are people who have shot up into their muscles, quite a few that shot up into their carotid… It’s frightening and mind-boggling what people will do because of addiction.
I have learned a lot from watching these episodes. Compassion, learning to be tactful. Also learned to be patient… which is not easy.
Course, I do get mad at the bulimics, and I feel bad for that.
However, I have a food addiction. I can’t fully wrap my mind around why someone would eat what might be close to $100 worth of food and then vomit all of it back up.
