Gotta love some Firehouse in the middle of the night.
I’m starting to wonder how difficult it can be for content creators on YouTube when they try to rush through pre-recordings for their channels. I’m fortunate in that regard, as my hands do most of the work.
I stopped even bothering with recording videos over a year ago. Not exactly due to being lazy, but because I knew that the time could be better spent.
Elsewhere.
For a 2-7-minute-long video on my Reading channel, I had to record for about 30 minutes, with different angles and lighting… sometimes I had a flashlight in my mouth. All to spend 1-2 hours fine tuning the video.
For a 7-25 minute video on my Gaming channel, I had to record for 2 or more hours and then spend another 2-3 hours editing.
What a chore and utter bore that became after a while!
It’s also hilarious though… Because I have a professional camera, computers that can handle the strain of the editing software I use… and green screens to properly record with… all for them to sit and collect dust. It’s fine though…
I hope by now – and yes this is another pre-write – I hope that I’ve gone through with my idea to go and take some nature pics with both of my cameras… technically I have five, but only one is a pro-camera. The lens for that thing is bigger than the camera itself.
I’ll always cherish the thing. The friend who gave it to me didn’t need to, but he saw a need and wanted to help me out.
When I originally started on YouTube, I had the foolish idea that I would suddenly become very popular and be able to earn money… as I had nothing at all in terms of income.
What a wasted venture that was. The only way for me to have decent enough content is to have equipment that costs over $1K to start.
I know that content creators claim that they started in their bedroom while filming through a potato, but with them one of two things happened. Either they started their channels extremely early… or they fit into a niche that wasn’t exactly there and became very popular.
Either way, I ain’t it.

Did any of you unfortunate ones read this or listen to me read it? I hope my speech impediment doesn’t put anyone off.
Strange how people claim they never hear it… I sure do.
