Keep On Steppin’

Due to lots of pacing and walking around in the house, I’ve managed to nearly walk 4 miles.

What’s significant about that—including all of the sit-downs I’ve been doing… is that my home is less than 900 sq feet total. My father has called my home ‘tiny,’ but it seems big enough for me. And when I have laundry… Oh my goodness.

I forgot how much exercise I got just from doing regular household chores in here. I was told to walk, but I pretty much did that while trying to stay alive in this house. I feel better, albeit a bit off still in the lower limb department.

A few friends yesterday asked me why I was using a cane. I explained to one that my legs were no good, but the left one was worse.

Since I started being more attentive to my physical limitations, I’ve started feeling better.

In my home, I can maneuver around pretty smoothly. So much so… that I can navigate even if I have my eyes closed. I do that sometimes, have all the lights out and wiggle right to the kitchen to grab some fruit. Then wiggle all the way back upstairs.

And if I fall, because I have fallen far too often in here—at least I know what I’m about to land on.

Though once it was nearly a cat because the kitten darted out right in front of me while I was walking down the stairs. She’s so full of energy, it’s pretty cute actually.

She’s gotten away from trying to chew on me mostly, but she has attempted to attack my hands or feet. Backs off when I suddenly leap away.

Now, leaping for me, with degeneration in my spine and knees… not easy.

Currently, I’m using the fact that I’m sort of young to my advantage. I’m not putting time limits on the areas I’m cleaning tonight.

Or when it’s even later here.

We’re supposed to have snow overnight… and there is no way on earth I’ll be able to clean off the car to take the cat to the groomer tomorrow.

Now catch me ten years ago? Would have been a no brainer. However, since cold air aggravates everything in my body now, I’m opting to wait it out.

Her next appointment is next week, but that’s with the vet. That’s a higher priority than grooming.

I also need to send them the kitten’s info.

Playing Sims 4 was fun today, but I had to keep rebuilding the couple’s home. The wife has two jobs… literally. And her husband works nights in customer service.

They have very few amenities.

I think I’m gonna start working in the living room and work my way through the cat room. Their room is the absolute worse.

I have bathroom, my office/bedroom to do. The basement needs a clean too, but I doubt I’ll be able to go down there tonight. Way too cold.

Yep, gonna head down and do that, maybe have more mac and cheese.

Got the phone with me, so I’ll be scrambling around… while watching “My 600-lb Life.”

Cleaner surroundings means I’ll get back into smacking down more for NtC soon.
