A friend of mine mentioned earlier today that this year is almost over. I mumbled something about getting older, which I am.
Oh, so much older.
I don’t even remember if I mentioned this on my blog, but you do come to a point when you’ll say something was ‘a few years ago,’ and that “few” turns out to be 15 or 20.
Mmm…
Tasting the dust already.
It’s shocking too though. This year is nearly over. So much happened this year. So very much. I can’t complain either. It was all good things for me. I’m grateful for all of it, even the twisted ankle I had earlier this morning. It gave me an excuse to sleep with the cats. Woke up with the kitten sleeping on my hip.
Was glad I didn’t feel like my lungs were glued together because I did not have my CPAP in place at all.
I ordered out tonight for dinner – surprise surprise – because I was so burnt out that I couldn’t even get myself up to make the pizza dough. The pizza I bought tastes great and I have several slices left. I think I’ll wrap and pack them in the freezer.
I doubt I’ll feel like pizza in the AM.
Now, on a less confusing tangent – WHO was it that pushed my views on “Catch & Release” past the 75 view limit I had imposed??
Not that I’m mad, mind… But I held out a tiny glimmer of hope that it wouldn’t happen. I did adjust the tags recently. Before it read: Eep/Guy (The Croods). I changed it up though. Now it reads: Dawn Betterman/Guy (The Croods), Eep/Guy (The Croods).
Maybe that’s what brought in new readers?? I’m the only one using that first tag though.
I don’t want to say I’m horrified that no one else thought of that. It’s more shock really… and I want to understand how it could have been missed. The second movie came out in late 2020, I think. Nearly three years ago now.
Is it so odd to have Dawn and Guy in a relationship? I’ve even seen fics where he was in relationships with other women – just not Dawn.
STILL… I suppose that since I met the goal of 75-80 view, I need to add that to my rotation. I’m waiting for the single day that I have to write to my heart’s content.

Work on the podcast is ongoing. I’m up to two listeners per day, which is nice. No ads for now, so there’s a lot less pressure on me.
It’s kind of like my blog. I pick a topic, pen out a few thoughts on it and then read them out loud.
The podcast. Not my blog.
