At current, I’m having a very unusual conversation with my dad. He seems pretty frustrated and upset, but about what… I’ve honestly no clue.
Maybe he’s drunk…
IDK.
Then again, I tend to be incoherent half the time when I’m speaking. Apparently, my English isn’t always the best. It sounds fine to me, but then again – I’m the only one in this body.
I barely got any chores done today. Probably because I had to cook my dinner.
I absolutely love pizza. I decided to have some for dinner tonight.
There are a few problems…
- Problem number 1: I have no $ to contribute for a pizza for myself. Pizza orders around here are expensive. Like a $15 pizza would end up being nearly $30 by the time it gets here.
- Problem number 2: Most pizzas, even DiGiorno from the grocery store have a lot of salt in them.
- Problem number 3: Even regular pizza dough has so much salt in it that my eyes want to water.
- Problem number 4: See #2 to #3
- Problem number 5: I want more control over how my food tastes.
- Problem number 6: See #4
I went and made some pizza. I know on the outside, ‘making pizza’ sounds easy, but I’m terrible at properly flipping pizza dough. So, I ended up rolling it out in pieces and pressing it together. Sad, I know, right? However, I loaded enough ‘sauce’ on it to cover the gaps… mostly.
It was absolutely wonderful and made me sad that I had to put in so much work for it.
My time breakdown for this was about 2½ hours. 90 minutes to make the dough, 12 minutes to rest, 15-20 minutes to roll it out, put on toppings and sauce. 18-20 minutes to bake in the oven. Then I have to wait another 6 minutes to let the pizza cool enough so I can cut it and not have it all gross and soggy in the middle.
Now have the bulk of it packed up in the fridge and two slices set aside for my family.
They may be upset with the slices because I don’t cut massive slices out when I’m cutting pizza to store. They’re these square shaped slices, like what you would get if you cut a regular pizza slice in half.
I also only make vegetarian pizza. I explained to a family member that otherwise, I’d have to cook the meat, and if I have to cook meat, I’ll just eat it with some veggies instead of putting it on a pizza. She mentioned salami … totally missed when I said: “What salami?!”
I do not buy that stuff.
I’m going to figure out which episodes of Voyager I’ll buy to watch tonight… or in the AM, since I want to work on new ST fanfic too.
Most of this post is about food! Sorry about that.
I’m obsessed with food though. It’s on my mind a good 70% of the time.
