Kick Back

Today has gone so well! Most of my daily chores I opted just to skip. Of course, Monday always makes me regret that. Today I did skip though… Especially the kitchen cleaning. I did that yesterday. I indulged my hobbies today!

So, I got to hang out around the house and read some webtoons – well only ONE of them. I got to do some sketching. My dad wants me to sketch a picture of the kitten he’s feeding outside. So far, I’ve done some preliminary sketches. I want to nail down a cat, not just his.

The color pattern is interesting too. I work with pencil and charcoals so I’m not exactly sure how I’ll emphasize the kitten’s whiskers.

They’re white, and the kitten has black fur with white patches in places.

If I want to do a close enough image, I’ll have to pick up some new pastels and some pages to use.

I think I found my easel.

I was also practicing some of the sheet music I have. Keyboard is now in my bedroom, where it’ll stay from now on. At some point, I’ll need to get a proper stand for it. Using a very old piano stool at current.

To be fair, the piano stool might be here to stay. It’s sturdy, despite being nearly 70 years old.

At present, I’m playing the Sims. I’m trying to power through one family at current. They have the biggest house in their neighborhood.

Oh! And as usual, I’ve been singing today. I enjoy doing that on a daily basis. From what I’ve been told, it’s helping my lung capacity.

Though I don’t need to be forced to sing every day. I often sing little nonsensical songs to myself. Did a lot of that today.

I’m hopeful that one of the songs I’m practicing will get memorized to the extent that I can play and sing at the same time.

No, I haven’t looked into my writing yet, but I’ll see if I can set that for some time tomorrow.

I’m starting to think that 1-2 hours of entertainment a day can help elevate my moods too.

Or every other day.
