Positively Yours

The title of today’s blog is a double entendre. Technically, since it’s me discussing it… I guess that would make it a triple entendre??

Let’s hammer out what it is first, eh? Now, I’m sure that some may recognize the name as belonging to one of those Mangas (not the manhuas) that’s a sappy love story underneath.

So that’s the third reference.

In the story, the protagonist ends up pregnant. Positive test. First reference. It’s funny too, because she nicknamed her kid “Doo-jool”, which means “two lines,” and a hilarious reference because her husband’s name is “Doo-Joon.” When he first heard it, he thought she was intentionally mispronouncing his name.

Or couldn’t say it correctly.

The protagonist is extremely devoted to her husband. She’s “positively” his. Second reference.

I’ve come off a day of looking through manhuas… and I don’t know if it’s everyone’s experience, but each one I read had a basic theme: The main male lead is some super rich, super powerful, alpha male, head CEO of some company and also the main leader of a gang. And of course, he’s the strongest, bravest, most savage, most pigheaded of them all.

And people are either drugged with heavy aphrodisiacs that are also paralytics or have poison caps on/in/under their teeth.

Someone gets shot/stabbed/sexually assaulted/ blown up via bomb… etc.

The main female leads also seem to be idiots often and prone to making emotionally charged decisions.

ALL.

THE.

TIME.

And all the other women all want the man she’s with and trying to find ways to “get rid” of her.

In some of these things… dude also has red eyes. I kept running from one to another. I think I kept finding the same person’s work after a time. Or all of the writers do the same thing… The red-eyed main male character(s) kept calling the female lead: “Wildcat.”

Ugh… The imagery behind that… I have goosebumps remembering.

I don’t ever remember seeing a man with a pointed, knife-like tongue… nor do their eyes roll up unless they’re passing out.

The extreme level of violence and sexual content in manhuas has frightened me off them.

I have no clue where “Positively Yours” was first uploaded. Maybe it was Tapas?? IDK.

I’ve also decided to stop paying for issues of my favorite webtoons. It’s expensive after a period of time! I put some weird lock on my IPAD, which is the only device I could log in with.

So now, I can’t even download the Webtoon app.

Not that there’s much there I can read anymore. What’s under canvas can be downright horrifying. And I call it that with every fiber of my being.

I’ve mentioned it before, but just to reiterate: I am a fan of stories that have happy families. I like feel good stories.

“Marry Me” is one of the most wholesome webcomics I’ve ever read. Seriously. I’ve been trying to figure out where I can purchase a hard copy of it. It has happy families, is feel good and has cats!

Can never go wrong with cats!

Well… with some of the Webtoons I’ve seen… I suppose you can go wrong with cats… One of the stories on there had someone mutilate one. I… I don’t think I’ve ever been so angry with an author before like this.

Today, I hung out mostly in bed, then did a few brief chores. Tidying my office today only took 6 minutes. I was shocked! I guess it’s good that I’m trying to get on top of the paperwork?

I didn’t eat too well today either. Fortunately, I still stayed under my calorie goal.

Since I redid my entire default weekly schedule, now I’m trying to do the same with my menu planner…

Trying to streamline stuff so it works better.

Gotta admit…

It does look better now.

I also need to start working on my grocery list now, while I have a non-grumbling stomach.

I have some options now… since I want to wash the horror of those manhuas away from my tiny brain.

Option One. Two hours of Sims 4 tomorrow.

OR

Option Two. Two hours of streamlining additional plots for NtC. Primarily typed. My hands can’t handle writing much at all now.

The lone advantage of those horrid stories was that I have an idea of a jealousy arc now. Now, a woman scorned I can certainly write about.

I got lots of experience in that… unfortunately.

Did I just write a whole blog post about a Manga??

Oh dear…
