I feel like I should hold myself in place so I cannot go anywhere. The exhaustion I felt yesterday seems like nothing when compared to what I’ve had to experience today. I ended up driving about 2 hours. Nearly straight with a break in the middle. My cat needed a trim… finally. After like nearly 4 years.
So she got her trim, but because she’s so anciently old, I had to wait for her. Then, I ended up heading off like 29 miles or so to my dad. Mind, this is after driving about 8 or 9 miles to get to the groomers. And an additional 11 miles was required for me to get home.
Had to swing past my friend’s place to pick up my CPAP supplies… Then headed home.
I fortunately found a space to park my car, but realized again that it’s Friday so the post office was open. I ended up having to run down there instead of driving. Cos, can’t move the car probably till Wednesday afternoon.
I really hope my washer and dryer are hooked up on Monday. I had a fantastic nearly 2 hour long call with one of my closest friends… only to realize that I needed to do laundry.
Now, here is the scenario… Pay attention, please.
- The sink in the basement has been removed so there’s nothing for the washing machine to drain into.
- The dryer has been disconnected from the wall, moved and then the filtration bucket has been discarded (I think.)
- I have a wringer…
- Now this part is important… two of the counters in the kitchen have wheels on them.
So, I have these two 6 gallon buckets, a wringer, three rectangular milk cartons strung together by zip ties for electronics, a water pump, a breathing mobile washer…
And a heavy-duty extension cable. Along with an additional 2 or 3-gallon bucket.
Yes, I did my laundry in the kitchen and pumped out the water into the kitchen sink.
Even I know the risks associated with having ANYTHING that got near your butt near anything in the kitchen. Especially a place where you actually wash your dishes (that are used for eating!)
So, at current, the kitchen sink has a nice bleach soak going on.
I also purchased a wrack and found a bunch of hangers.
… Now, I have a very good Honeywell fan. And extension cables. At present, that fan is trying to dry my clothes, while closed up in a warm bathroom. I think I’m most upset because I had to interrupt other plans to do laundry. I’m also furious that I had to struggle to haul that wringer upstairs and nearly got crushed against the wall when I tried to maneuver with the buckets.
In 3 days, I’ve had about 4 near misses, including almost having my mattress smash me between it and my box spring.
Nearly crushed against a wall, nearly fell headfirst down the stairs. Felt myself close to slipping (again down the stairs) with a computer cable at fault.
You’d think I was done being a daredevil, but apparently not.
Oh and the power cable for the water pump is plugged into that heavy duty indoor/outdoor cable, which is then plugged into a surge protection that’s plugged into the wall…
… Yep.
I’m actually so tired right now, I’m going to set my alarm to get up and do my assignment in the morning.

Ohh, my eyes hurt. And I have to plug the CPAP in across the room. If only I didn’t need to breathe at nighttime.
