Shelter At Nature

I am starting to really like this “random book generator”! It really does spit out fantastic suggestions. Granted, I have to cycle through it about 15 times in rapid succession, then double click where the name might be and that solves it!

The up… post name… fixer… random enhancer ~ thingy.

I’ve been dealing with an IBS flare up for nearly 24 hours. I even wrote myself a note.

“Blog – Nothing like IBS flare ups to trap you in the bathroom for hours… (crying face emoji) @ 1:53AM)

I hate having flare ups. Years ago, I would have them fairly frequently at work. People assumed I was bent over at the counter because of laziness.

The truth was… I was having severe abdominal cramping… it was gas that kept moving up and down all through my large intestine and it was causing immense pain. I’d nearly stagger in the house and then struggle to climb the stairs.

The rectal cramping is like no other pain I’ve felt before. And of course that’s followed by the anal cramping when I make it to the bathroom, which is so intense that I end up grabbing and hanging onto the nearest surface and/or thing I can grab. It makes one automatically squeeze their knees together, lean over and limp.

Sneezing aggravates it, along with coughing. Any movement makes the stabbing pains worse. It has sometimes progressed to where even inflating my diaphragm to breath makes it hurt.

My elderly cat is smart enough to avoid me when that happens. Since she doesn’t want the first thing I grab to be her.

At least at home, I could scream. When I’m out, I have to swallow down my pain and pretend as if I’m fine.

… I’ve had so many instances where I was delayed trying to leave the house due to some issue with my gut. It’s very frustrating.

I guess for my sake – I need to reach out to my GI doctor and schedule an appointment.

Eww. I hate that. The man is wonderful and very considerate… however the problems I’m facing…

That’s a horse of another color.
