Hey, Miss J!

For some strange reason, whenever I see TV shows that depict bands from the 1800s… Well… y’know.

Currently watching another episode of Dr. Quinn… and I’m very intrigued. I’ve been re-reading NtC chapters too. I tasted the idea of what I should include in the next chapter. I’m a little confused too.

I’m sitting here staring at my notebook…

Wait…

I’ve now remembered.

At the end of chapter 18, there is mention made of this mysterious blonde. I just remembered who that is. I’ve just written it down in the notebook so I don’t forget again.

I had two assignments to deal with today, but only was able to finish one so far. However… on a positive note, I’ve sorted (most) of my paperwork for general life things.

Of course, I’m keeping the paperwork of my cat who had to be put down. That was… a very difficult time for me.

I was surprised today by being told I would have a new roof. Then, I was told I would get new gutters. I’m pretty overwhelmed.

I mean, I was told that I would receive things.

But being told and actually having it happen are two different things entirely. The hot water tank was what I asked for… However, I’m receiving a lot more than that.

It’s very nice.

I can’t help but be immensely grateful for that. There’s a lot of things that I needed to have done, but I wasn’t able to afford it.

I’m not able to afford much at all.

Thankfully, my medications are also covered and free.

I’ve been told before to count my blessings, and I would always say that I was unable to because there are so many.

And this time is one of those times… I can’t complain about anything.

I was shocked when I was shown what the roof looked like after they removed the old one. The wood was heavily damaged and rotting under there.

I remember that I paid for that roof. Out of pocket. I have my contract from 2018 when it was done… It should have held up. I wonder if the damage was there before or after the installation.

I’ll never really know. I would hope… that the new roof I paid for hadn’t been laid on top of that…

But if a nonprofit deems it absolutely necessary to put a new roof there after stripping off the damaged sections on top of my house…

Well…

I’m… uncertain that I will be using that company again. Or referring any business to them at all. I didn’t have water coming into my home, but it was still getting in the house and slowly… over time… causing more and more damage.

Now, it’s time for more Dr. Quinn and seeing if I can get my ‘spare’ chores done as quickly as possible before I go to bed.

Additional stuff’s spose to be done tomorrow, so I’ll push my alarm back a bit. Should give me plenty of time to get more sleep?

I’ll use the time I normally would to scramble for tomorrow’s assignment for Thursday’s assignment…

If’n I can’t get it partially done tonight.
