It is strange to find myself with a solo feline again. For the longest time – years even – I’ve had at least two furry creatures to keep me company. Now however, I’m back down to a single one. My oldest cat, who is a fuzzy ball of adorableness, is currently curled up on my bed.
I find it oddly amusing that now she’s able to be in my bedroom, a place she’d been barred from before. All because she liked my Italian bedroom furniture just a wee bit too much. Now though, the house is so still and silent. Even if I’m okay with the stillness and quiet, my old cat is not. She likes to be near me.
I accidentally frightened a friend of mine by not answering the phone. This prompted her to come flying in the door with the elderly cat right in front of her. That same cat made sure to express her discontent with being barred from my bedroom and is currently making her home right in the middle of my bedsheets.
She responds when called and is a chatter bug.
I’ve literally had myself knee and elbow deep in assignments for the better second half of today. The rest of it, I found that I was wasting time needlessly. I have a lot more fun while working on my studies. There’s so much information there. So much that I have to absorb.
I also relearned the sad and horrible consequences of having a poor diet.
Now, I’m pausing in one assignment and going to cook a late “real meal” dinner, that includes cabbage and rice. All that nice stuff that didn’t leave me with 9 sheets to the wind gas where it actually tastes like an upset stomach upon belching.
Blech. No thank you.
I suppose I’ve aged out of less healthy food. Back to healthy meals for me! I think I’ll have a double serving of rice and beef, to make up for the lack today. What that means is 110 grams of beef instead of 55 and 1 cup of rice instead of ½.
Till then!
