I never thought today would happen like it did. I had my meeting, which was great, but then strangely – out of thin air – my friend called and asked me to take her out for some errands. I was just about to fully peel off my clothes and curl up in bed for a nap.
Mind, I was running on less than four hours of sleep. I told my friend I wanted to get some MickyD’s, because even though I’m not a fan of their brand… Can’t skip around the deals, yunno?
So, we totally got a Happy Meal, because why not? Got my 6-piece chicken nuggets, fries and a toy! We shared. It’s less than $6 and food for two people. Very nice!
The thrift store trip went… unexpectedly. I at first wanted to just stay in the car and wait for my friend to come out. Then, I opted to go in with her. I ended up finding some items that I really really wanted, then fussed because I wanted to see the electronics.
By chance, I mentioned wanting to find a lamp and stumbled on one that was nearly my height. And somehow totally didn’t notice the other lamp right next to me.
It’s huge. Absolutely MASSIVE and much taller than me! (Though I’m not that tall at all…)
We had to partially separate and shift part of it for it to fit in the car, but I managed to struggle and get it in my room. Two bulbs in and once I flicked on the light…
My goodness! It lit my room up like my ceiling light used to! I’m shocked! It was like the middle of day in here!
I’m still getting used to not having two cats in here. I have no idea if the mancat was put to sleep, but considering his aggression towards animals and people…
At least he’s out of my house.
My friend got hibachi for me, and it’s super tasty and so much food that I have enough for breakfast in the morning. And some extra meaty bits for an additional meal after that.
I’m just so surprised still to see this lamp. It’s absolutely beautiful. Reminds me of the streetlamps outside, except it has two lights on it.
Now, I need to go do therapy exercises (at last!), set up clothes in dryer, pen out my schedule and get my bills paid.
Eww.
Sometimes I hate adulting.

Oh! Fortunately, I brought an umbrella! The deluge right before we left the store was shocking!
