Running For the Moon

Today went better. However, I feel like I finished nothing at all. Which sucks. Well… I didn’t exactly do nothing per se…

I had a wonderful meeting… that I was very late to. I feel terrible about that. My friend and I also scrambled to go pick up my packages.

Then, I found out that two of my friends tested positive for Covid today. So, a nerve-wracking part of my evening involved me shoving a stick up my nose to then test it out to see if I had Covid.

I was kind of amused when I saw what the applicator looked like. I even took a picture of it.

The thing looks like a pregnancy test.

Just as it would have been with a pregnancy test for me, it came up negative. I’m in a headspace right now where I can laugh at the painful irony of that.

I was extremely relieved. I feel like I’ve been playing a longstanding game of “The FLOOR Is LAVA”, except it’s “This PERSON Next To You Has COVID”. All while desperately trying not to get infected.

Once I was free then, I opened the pack to free my new cleaver.

And what did I do with it?

Tested that thing on the bag it came in. One quick swipe and the slit in the bag was so very clean. Then, I decided to wipe it down and immediately use it in the kitchen.

On frozen fish. For my dinner.

My fingers were right there. Until the blade came down. I was amazed and intrigued at how smoothly it cut. And through frozen fish at that. I really love different kinds of knives. Even though this blade isn’t made of Damascus steel, so far I’m quite impressed.

No exercise today.

Making a brand-new list of what I need to do tomorrow. Will be up late doing assignments.

Boo.
