Nibbles

I really enjoy listening to Barratt Waugh… or at least this particular song he’s covering. I absolutely love the ranges that male voices can transverse.

From countertenors to basso profundo. I tend to lean more towards the outer edges with these singers. So while I like tenors, I really love countertenors.

It’s embarrassing to admit this, but I know that I get strange looks when I mention the kinds of singers I like. My interests are vast, spanning various genres. While I do have certain types of music I’ll never intentionally listen to, the list of what I like it larger than what I don’t like.

I’ve also now forgotten what the topic of this blog post was supposed to be – so I suppose I’ll do some brain vomiting.

I don’t have very long to write this, but I know it will take me less than ten minutes to read. Part of what I plan on working on is reading at a slower speed. I know that the reason my words sometimes run together is because I’m speaking too fast. This doesn’t mean that in my regular everyday speech that I’ll try to slow down that much.

I was honest when I said the fastest thing on me was my mouth.

However, for the Podcast, I need to put more effort into my reading and delivery. I think my last three recordings sound a bit off. I might re-record the last audio file if it sounds too horrible on listening back over it.

I learned today why I’ll never buy tortilla chips again. I bought two packs of these nearly saltless corn tortillas. So, the fact that I need to get cooking to have some nice crispy tortilla bits is enough to slow me down in munching on them. They taste a lot better than what I can get in the stores too.

My friend and I were in a store yesterday and picked up these garlic herb grinders. She was horrified to read how much salt is in 1/4th of a teaspoon. Whoever heard of a seasoning that has over 500 mgs of sodium?! Then again, I can imagine regular iodized salt entering the chat to have a “word” with me.

Salt is not my enemy per se. It makes stuff tasty.

However, too much is bad for everyone.

Plus, if you have cardiovascular problems, you should never eat the potassium substitute for salt. That stuff can seriously injure you.

One of the dangerous ones is “No Salt”. Most people avoid reading the label that says it’s to be consumed by people in good health.

Like most things in life.

Excess can literally kill.

Oh well. That’s it for tonight.

I’m watching a video called “Male Singers DESTROYING Fifth Octave with HIGH NOTES!!” … It’s cool! I don’t know much about Dimash Kudaibergen, but I’m definitely interested.
