Love Songs

One of the main things I usually listen to are particular songs that tickle my fancy when I’m trying to get into the right mood.

For sad scenes, I end up listening to really sad love songs.

For sappy scenes, I end up listening to heartwarming love songs.

For fight scenes, I end up listening to more “Heart” songs.

Sometimes, I just listen to Heart on loop. It’s all the songs on their 2000 Digital Remaster.

I don’t usually venture that far out of my normal scope of music. It sounds sad, but I like what I like… and most of what I like are songs from the 80s and mid to late 90s.

And Celine Dion.

With her, it doesn’t matter what decade it is. I like most of her stuff. Until of late… I’m a bit uncertain about it. Thankfully, since her catalogue is so massive, I don’t have to worry about running out of music.

I just spent about 40 minutes replying to a few comments on my fic. Oh! And one PM. On Fanfiction.net, you can send PMs to other people.

I was touched once… because one of my readers from AO3 made an account on Fanfiction.net so that they could send me a PM about a suggestion they’d made to my tags.

I appreciate it even more because of the type of writing I engage in. There are many elements that will never make it into any of my new works and even the old ones are being modified to reflect that attitude.

Some of my old writings were deleted out of existence. Both in data form and in actual paper form. Shredder for the win.

Though I am a bit concerned… There is a novel out there, somewhere. A novella rather… that was a romance/sci-fi hybrid. I have absolutely no clue where it is now. Maybe… like the old school GTX RP forum I was on way back around the early 2000s… it’s gone in the wind.

It was the strangest piece of fiction I’ve ever written.

However, I remember what inspired it.

The irony is that the appearances of my characters was based on a different book. However, the cheesy hijinks? That was all me.

I wonder what would happen if I ever locate that novel again. What would I do to it? Keep it for posterity or destroy it for all time?

Ah well.

I enjoy my current spot in “Navigating the Curve”. All of it is so smooth, and when I want a fanfic fix, I end up tuning into my own stuff for the most part.

I did recently find some really sweet and adorable stories though.

I need to leave them some love, I think.

Oh, I also made a typo in my Author’s Note and said: “They there!” … instead of the usual “Hey there!” that I use.

I grumbled how lazy and unwilling I was to get out of bed to get back on the laptop – log into the website and then revise the file… all for one word.

One of my relatives told me that it could reach out to certain people the wrong way.

I told her that it’s just a typo and not to cry over it. I mean that’s not wrong…
