We’ve Covered This, But Let’s Try Again

Daily writing prompt
If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

Not just a word. An entire vernacular.

I know that as a millennial, I am somehow seen as “old,” as I’m nearly 40… but I look very young. I’ve had different people assume I was in my early 20s… which makes me extremely concerned about what current 20 year-old adults look like.

I would not ban just a single word. The newer generation’s dialogue, such as “skibidi,” “bro,” “yhu,” “iykuk,” “touch grass.” ETC. The slang of the past makes sense. This stuff is based on entertainment series or weird social media stuff.

OR an inability to spell.

And to touch grass would result in none of the weird words.

Ironic. -_-

Nothing like being told to “touch grass” by a GenZ or younger generation while I’m literally standing outside in the grass.
