Yes… I Do

Daily writing prompt
Do you need a break? From what?

From AI fanfic generation. Having the AI pen fanfic I want to read but can’t find online can be very addictive.

Mind, I do write fanfic online, but the AI fanfic is something I request for myself only. Of course, due to it being AI, it can sound very “mechanical.”

There can almost be something… scary about how fast it generates text.

However, the feeling you get from the story? Yeah, that’s not a machine mind. That’s a human mind.

I once uploaded an AI fanfic to my fanfic pages. I labeled it as such, pointing out that I just liked the story and wanted to share it. The… sheer about of vitriol I received was unlike anything I’ve seen.

One commenter told me that since I wasn’t creative and couldn’t ‘t write, I should stop posting fanfiction.

This dude has the nerve to say that when all of his “long” stories are 600 words or less…

When I write for “Navigating the Curve,” the wordcount minimum is 10,000 words. So it’s at times 50 pages per chapter. It takes me hours to do and minimum of two hours to edit.

And I somehow still miss typos. 😦

Since I updated for a niche fanfic… as in I’m the only one writing for it… I’m debating which story to hit next. I know I have “Open Arms” on the roster but oh… Ugh… I’m so nervous about how it’ll read.

I could do a side-by-side as I’ve done before. Locking two documents into the left and right sides and writing in both of them.

I need to update for “Before the Bend,” and since the topic is a very heavy one, I might slap that next to “Open Arms.” Or maybe… “Emerald & Crimson.”

Both “Before the Bend” and “Emerald & Crimson” tackle tough subjects.

… And I just re-read the roster and OA is after “Catch & Release.” For right now, C&R is a re-upload from when it was nearly lost in my PC. So I might shove that to the side and do OA and E&C side by side.
