Admitting and acknowledging that I can’t keep faking being well. Choosing to be less sick and getting more sleep.
Finally caving and not pretending I can walk properly.
Accepting that I’ll never have the same income again.
I had to decide to have a life-altering surgery too.
I feel like it was giving up.
- Acknowledging that I am sick and disabled.
- Instead of pushing myself and risking an early death.
- Voluntarily having a hysterectomy that is life-altering.
- Instead of potential catastrophic bleeding.
