If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?
Because of how fickle phones are, I’m often asked: “You still there?” It’s strange and annoying. At first, I thought it was an issue with my phone, then I thought it was a jammer. Now, I’m realizing that the real problem is probably the “upgrades” my cell service provider did to one of their towers.
A friend described it as me being inside of a miniature, landlocked Bermuda Triangle.
So… bad reception. I get asked if I left… I always respond: “Naw, I’m still here.” Or “Naw, ain’t gone nowhere.”
Taking “naw” out of my daily language would not be easy… I’m so used to using it.
Do I have plans for the rest of the night?
Naw… not exactly…
