What’s the story behind your nickname?

So, I’m in a family where I had an uncle and great (great??) grandfather with names that began with “Jul…” So… my mother, who did not actually name me, mind… she told me that I was the last of the family jewels.

I don’t think she understood what that means. At least, I hope she didn’t.

And if she did, EWW.

But yeah, that’s why I’m called “Jules.” It’s a family nickname. It was also easier for certain family members to pronounce since my actual name is apparently “difficult.”

So… Yeah.
